Under the Vaults

A covered street in the medina, the arches answering one another to the far end, and that yellow door covered in signs: crescents, stars, fish, the hand of Fatima. They do not decorate, they protect. The women wear the white sefsari, the man the jebba and the chechia. These clothes still pass in the streets of Tunis, but less and less.
